Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect almost nothing, we don't use analytics or trackers, and we never sell your data.

Wuji, LLC (“Wuji,” “we,” “us”) makes Incense, Bowls, Crystals, and Tao Te Ching Meditation, and operates wuji-meditation.com. This policy covers all of them.

Our apps

Incense (iPhone & iPad, available now) collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Your preferences live only on your device. Incense reads your device's motion sensors in real time to animate the on-screen smoke — that data is used for the current frame only and is never stored, logged, or sent anywhere; motion access is optional and the app works without it. All audio is bundled with the app; nothing is recorded or uploaded.

Bowls (iPhone, available now) also collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party SDKs, and no network connection of any kind — nothing about your use of Bowls ever leaves your device. On supported headphones, Bowls reads motion data to keep sound placed around you as you turn your head; that data is used live to render the audio and is immediately discarded, never stored or transmitted. If you set a photo as a session background, it's handled by Apple's own photo picker, which gives Bowls only the one image you choose — Bowls never gets access to your photo library, and the image stays on your device.

Crystals (iPhone, available now) has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs. Unlike Bowls, it does make a small number of network requests — all to our own servers, none of them identifying you. Some guided narration is delivered after your first launch, over Wi-Fi, rather than bundled with the app, so the download stays small; and Apple's App Attest system checks that the request genuinely comes from the real app before that narration is served. On supported headphones, Crystals reads motion data to keep each bowl in place as you turn your head; that data is used live to render the audio and is immediately discarded, never stored or transmitted. Any purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store — we never see your payment details, and Crystals never requires an account.

Tao Te Ching Meditation (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV & Apple Watch, coming soon), which we call Tao for short, has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs. Like Crystals, it makes a small number of network requests, all to our own servers. Apart from feedback, none of them identifies you: each of the others carries only the time, the app's name and a signature showing it came from the real app, with no user or device identifier. The first chapters come with the app; the rest of the narration, the paintings and the ambient sounds are downloaded when you buy the full app, or when you tap one. As with any download, our server sees your device's IP address while it delivers the file; we don't use it to identify you. Your place in the book, the chapters you've heard and a few settings are stored on your devices. If you use iCloud, they're kept in step across your devices through your own iCloud account. They go to Apple, not to us, so we never receive them, and if iCloud is off, nothing syncs. If you turn on the original Chinese, your device may download a Chinese typeface from Apple. That request goes to Apple, not to us. The daily reminder is a notification your own device schedules; we don't send push notifications. If you share a line, the card is made on your device and goes only where you send it. Saving a card to your photos uses Apple's add-only permission, so Tao can put a picture in your library but can't see what's in it. If you send us feedback from Settings, we receive what you wrote, your email address if you chose to add it, the app's version, and your device's model and system version. We use it only to read your note and, if you gave an email, to reply. Any purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, and Tao never requires an account.

This website

• No cookies, no analytics, no ad or tracking pixels. We don't profile you or follow you around the web.
• Fonts. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so Google may receive your IP address as part of serving the font. That is the only third-party request the site makes.
• Email. If you write to us, we use your message and address only to reply.

What we never do

We don't sell or rent your data, build advertising profiles, or hand your information to data brokers. Using Incense, Bowls, Crystals, or Tao Te Ching Meditation never requires an account.

Children

None of our apps requires an account or any personal details to use. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Because we hold so little, this is simple: if you sent us feedback, you can ask us what we have (the note you sent, and your email address if you gave one) and ask us to delete it. Email privacy@wuji-meditation.com.
