Wuji Incense Support

Accessibility

We want Wuji to work for everyone. Here's where each app stands — and if something's broken for you, tell us. We treat accessibility problems as bugs.

This page is also the accessibility URL referenced in our App Store listings. Email hello@wuji-meditation.com with anything that isn't working.

Incense — iPhone & iPad

  • VoiceOver. Every control — duration, soundscape list, start button — is labelled. The animated stick and smoke are decorative and hidden from VoiceOver, so you can set up and start a session entirely without sight.
  • Voice Control. Controls are labelled so you can activate them by name.
  • Larger Text. Text scales with your Larger Text setting, and the layout adjusts without clipping or overlap.
  • Reduce Motion. With Reduce Motion on, the smoke is suppressed and the ember simplifies to a static glow. Fully usable, effective immediately.
  • Dark interface. Incense is dark throughout by design — the dark environment is part of watching the flame.
  • Contrast. Text and labels meet WCAG AA on the dark background. Known limitation: the small ember-orange accent on the timer numerals may fall below AA at small sizes — we're addressing it.
  • Color isn't the only signal. Options are identified by text labels, and selected states use both a highlighted label and a visual indicator.

Bowls — iPhone

  • VoiceOver. Interactive controls are labelled and reachable, including the pause control, which is announced properly while a session plays.
  • Reduce Motion. The screen's ripples, flex, and breathing motion stop; the picture holds still. This setting overrides the app's own visual-effects toggle, since a system-level request outranks an in-app preference.
  • Reduce Transparency. Glass panels switch to an opaque surface of the same shape and weight, with no see-through chrome.
  • Dynamic Type. Bowls supports Dynamic Type — the main text (titles, subtitles, body copy, and labels) scales with your preferred text size. Some smaller chrome (a few button labels and row captions) is not yet resizable; we're working through the rest.
  • Dark interface. Bowls is dark throughout by design, matching how the app is meant to be used.

Wuji — iPhone (coming soon)

Wuji is built with the same commitment: VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type, and respect for Reduce Motion from the start. We'll list its specific support here when it launches — and we'd genuinely like to hear from people who rely on assistive technology before then.

This website

The site is keyboard-navigable with visible focus, uses semantic structure and a skip link, provides text alternatives for imagery, and respects your Reduce Motion setting (the ambient smoke renders as a single still frame). We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA. If you hit a barrier, email us.
